The Best Fruit
AN INDEPENDENT FILM
What happens when A noble cause turns into an obsession?
The Best Fruit is an inspirational drama with dark comedy flavor.
Winston Little is a man driven by what he views as divine instruction. In his quest to establish a new spiritual center in his Midwestern hometown, he must convince the discriminatory elements in the community to embrace it. As well as his family.
The resistance is lead by his childhood friend Peter, whose son, Dylan, is Winston’s first disciple. He serves as Winston’s protégé on his path towards spiritual development and personal growth, much to Peter's dismay.
Winston’s wife, Sarah, is also skeptical the town will ultimately accept change. His passion transformes into obsession, forging a rift. He presses forward and draws more students along with the heightened rage from his detractors.
It is not until Dylan’s near meeting with death that Winston is shown his the consequences of his behavior, and accepts that religion and faith are offerings to be held with open hands and not clenched fists.
